Readability without direct visual contact and a high non-reliance on cleanliness are two of the definitive advantages of RFID technology in many processes – in intralogistics as well as in industrial production or in other, mainly automated goods cycles and supply chains. This is where OnMould RFID labels from Plöckl Media Group (PMG) stand out from the masses. Regardless of their operating environment, they can meet all demands on durability, weather resistance, toughness and machine readability – and thus guarantee a safe, individual long-term identification of objects.
OnMould RFID labels enable the long-term identification of objects such as boxes, containers, pallets, storage areas and other logistics assets. High adhesion reliability is guaranteed – the peeling resistance is 38 N at 25 mm – thanks to a synthetic, permanently adhesive hybrid glue coating the underside of the labels. It reliably ensures that the label always remains on the object – even on high and low-energy surfaces such as glass, PP (polypropylene), PE (polyethylene) or ABS.
The format of OnMould RFID labels from PMG is freely selectable and can be optimally adjusted to suit the application. A transparent, scratch and wipe-proof, UV-resistant laminate film is applied to the top of the label’s tough polyester basic laminate. This surface protects the optional label print which can be individually designed with barcodes, numbers, digits, characters and logos. The RFID module – with a choice of UHF inlays (EPC class 1 gen. 2, 860 - 960 MHz) or HF inlays (13.56 MHz) is embedded in the basic laminate and reliably protected there against external influences. OnMould RFID labels can be read at distances between 0.5 m and 17 m using stationary and mobile RFID readers from the widest range of manufacturers.
The temperature resistance of PMG OnMould RFID labels is specified at -40 °C to +130 °C – and even briefly up to + 160 °C. The chip itself is specified for up to +85 °C. As a result, the labels can remain on the object in deep-freeze applications, in high-temperature washing and drying processes, or other thermally demanding environments.
The OnMould RFID labels from PMG are supplied on rolls – either blank for subsequent printing by the customer or, if required, already printed and serialized. They guarantee a reliable permanent identification of containers, pallets, shelf compartments, storage spaces, pipes, operating materials and other mobile assets in intralogistics, in industrial assembly and manufacturing processes, and in a range of industries.
